Stand Against Wrongful Convictions
Your Contribution Can Free Mark Lasher
New Evidence Has Emerged
On June 2002, Mark Anthony Lasher was wrongfully convicted of a sexual offense in Leon County, Texas. Now, new evidence has emerged that could prove his innocence—including a recent recantation from the alleged victim, A.G., who voluntarily visited Lasher while he was incarcerated and admitted in multiple communications that she knows Lasher is innocent.
During the trial, Lasher’s defense presented a medical examination conducted six days after the alleged incident, which showed no physical signs of abuse. In fact, her aunt, the outcry witness, testified that the alleged victim reported the assault on November 25th. However, records show that A.G. was removed from her home by November 20, 2000—five days before the alleged outcry. Additionally, the prosecution was allowed to present pre-recorded statements from the accuser, preventing the defense from cross-examining her in real time and violating Lasher’s Sixth Amendment rights. Despite the numerous inconsistencies presented during the trial, the jury still returned a guilty verdict, sentencing Lasher to 45 years in prison.
Lasher has spent over two decades behind bars for a crime he did not commit, and he lacks the financial resources to fight for justice. We urgently need your help to fund the legal representation and investigative efforts necessary to clear his name.

About Mark
When Mark was just 21, his life took a devastating turn when he was wrongfully incarcerated. Before his arrest, he had just begun to embrace a love for traveling, with Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Florida being some of his favorite destinations. His passion for exploration grew from a childhood marked by confinement—removed from an abusive home at 5, he spent most of his childhood in foster care, longing for the freedom he was denied. Despite these hardships, Mark built a life filled with hope and love, including an engagement to a woman who firmly believed in his innocence.
Today, Mark is a devoted Christian, finding strength in his faith. He turns to the Bible for guidance, helping fellow inmates overcome their hardships and rebuild connections with their families. He attends church daily and is currently helping teach a class for fathers.
Mark prays daily for his exoneration and believes it’s only a matter of time before he receives the support he needs. Upon release, he plans to continue mentoring others, helping them navigate through their struggles and lead purposeful lives.
About Our Legal Support Group
We are a small dedicated team of individuals committed to supporting the innocent facing legal injustices, those who have been wrongfully accused or convicted. We understand that many people in the justice system are without the resources, support, or constitutional knowledge to defend their innocence. Our mission is to provide those individuals with the assistance they need, especially when they have no one else to turn to or lack competent advocates who will fight for their rights.
The justice system is not perfect, and we recognize that corruption or systemic failures can sometimes lead to wrongful convictions. We strive to ensure that innocent individuals do not spend their time behind bars due to these injustices. Our goal is to uphold the constitutional principle that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty and to work tirelessly to protect this fundamental right.
We are not attorneys nor legal experts, but through advocacy, investigational reporting, and collaboration, we can expose wrongful convictions, challenge legal corruption, and help offer a lifeline to those who need it most.
Succesufully Dismissing the Case Against Richard Collins
Our team fought for the release of a 66-year-old man who was wrongfully imprisoned for nine months after being accused of sexual assault. Despite presenting strong evidence of his innocence—including recordings, time-stamped and geo-tagged photos, as well as affidavits—authorities refused to release him until he pushed for trial. Throughout our investigation, we uncovered corruption, including a defense attorney conspiring with prosecutors and the concealment of exculpatory evidence we provided, a direct violation of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
After mounting pressure and a pending investigation by the State Bar Chief Disciplinary Counsel, Collin’s ineffective attorney for the State of Texas finally withdrew from the case. A new attorney was assigned and successfully got the case dismissed within 40 days, exposing the misconduct. Additionally, we revealed tampered court records implicating judges and prosecutors in a decades-long conspiracy related to another wrongful conviction involving this defendant. This case demonstrates how false accusations, corruption, and systemic failures can obstruct justice, even when overwhelming evidence of innocence exists.
“The history of the law is largely the history of the struggle to make the justice system more just, to minimize the likelihood that innocent people will be convicted.”
